Position Title: Field Assistant-Cash for Food

Job Description:
This position is based in the Herat and Adraskan district of Herat province, you will assist livelihoods programming cash for food field activities by working directly with local partners and community members in support of CRS work to serve the poor and vulnerable. Your service and community interpersonal skills contribute to projects that benefit local communities that consistently apply best practices and continuously work towards improving their impact.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
- Support programming activities at the field level, including beneficiary identification and verification; cash, voucher, and in-kind distributions; and post-distribution interviews contributing to ensuring quality implementation.
- Contribute to ensuring accountability to project beneficiaries and local stakeholders
- Support the monitoring of project activities at the field level, per the M&E plan through collection of data.
- Support community mobilization efforts through communication and information sharing with project beneficiaries at the community level.
- In coordination with the project team support capacity building events for community volunteers.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma required, University degree is preferred
- Minimum 3-4 years of work experience in supporting community development and mobilization for an NGO and an I/NGO would be a plus.
- Experience in cash for food projects and cash distribution
- Ability to use a tablet for data entry and collection

Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Key Working Relationships:
Internal: Project Officer, MEAL Officer, Field Agents, livelihood and cash Program Managers.
External: Project Participants, Community Leaders, and other Community Members.
Required Languages – Fluent Dari (reading, writing, and verbal skills). Working knowledge of English and strong oral Pashto Language is a plus.
Travel – Must be willing and able to travel up to 90% to CRS offices and field sites in Adraskan and Heart city, as well as additional provinces if programming needs
